Smoothie Recipes

Smoothies are an amazing way to refuel your energy for dance. It's an awesome pre and post-dance snack and is definitely a much healthier alternative to chocolate and post-workout bars.
I will be showing you two smoothies, fruit based, and one "green-based".
Personally, I don't like adding protein powder to my smoothies, because I prefer to use chia seeds instead. Also, if you don't like one of the ingredients that I use, feel free to substitute it with something that you prefer(!).

full recipe makes 2 servings

Fruit smoothie:
What you'll need:
  • Blender + glass
  • Strawberries (1/2 cup or 125g)
  • Raspberries (1/2 cup or 125g)
  • Blueberries (1/2 cup or 125g)
  • Chia seeds (1-2 teaspoons)
    you can use wallnuts instead
  • The juice of 1 lemon or lime
  • Orange juice (1/2 cup or 125g/ml)
    OR: coconut water, regular water, (avoid milk)
  • Add protein powder if you think it's necessary
How to make it:
  1. Add all of your ingredients to your smoothie. (put your liquids in first, to make it easier for your blender)
  2. Blend and pour into a glass!
  3. [Feel free to add more water/juice]

full recipe makes 1.5 to 2 servings

Green-smoothie:
What you'll need:
  • Blender + glass
  • 1 handful of kale
  • 1 handful of spinach
  • 1 apple
  • 2 kiwis
  • Chia seeds (1-2 teaspoons)you can use walnuts instead
  • The juice of 1 lemon or lime
  • Water (1/2 cup or 125g/ml)
  • Add protein powder if you think it's necessary
How to make it:
  1. Add your liquid ingredients to your blender
  2. Cut your apple and kiwi and add them to blender as well
  3. Blend these until you're happy with the consistency
  4. Add kale, spinach and chia seeds
  5. Blend again and pour into a glass!
  6. [Feel free to add more water/juice]
